Multiple Public Facilities Centres have recently debuted along the Mumbai-Goa highway, thanks to the Maharashtra Public Works Department. These centres were inaugurated by the Minister of Public Works, Ravindra Chavan, and are designed to offer essential services and conveniences to travelers journeying to Konkan for Ganeshotsav and regular commuters alike.

One of these pioneering centres has been unveiled in Kharpada, a town along the highway, with Minister Ravindra Chavan leading the inauguration. These centres are thoughtfully equipped with first-aid facilities and restroom amenities, making them especially valuable for travellers. Furthermore, refreshment stalls have been set up to cater to the culinary needs of visitors.

Given the extended travel time for Ganesh devotees heading to the Konkan region, accessible conveniences and rest areas are a necessity. With the introduction of these facilities, both vehicle operators and passengers can now easily access essential services, including restroom facilities, throughout their journey.

Minister Chavan underscored the importance of ensuring a comfortable and secure travel experience for devotees en route to Konkan for Ganesh Chaturthi.
