CM Eknath Shinde Lauds Navi Mumbai International Airport and NAINA Projects as Catalysts for Maharashtra’s Development

Chief Minister Eknath Shinde expressed his optimism regarding the Navi Mumbai International Airport and NAINA City projects, stating that these initiatives, being implemented by the CIDCO, have the potential to transform Maharashtra into a powerhouse of economic development. His remarks came during a ceremony held in Vashi, Navi Mumbai, where significant milestones were achieved.

The event featured the successful landing of a C-295 aircraft and a flypast test of the Sukhoi-30 aircraft conducted by the Indian Air Force at the Navi Mumbai International Airport Project. Chief Minister Shinde, along with dignitaries including Minister of State for Civil Aviation Muralidhar Mohol and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, celebrated this aviation milestone.

During the ceremony at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, the Chief Minister inaugurated CIDCO’s mega housing scheme, which includes 26,502 flats, and initiated infrastructure development works in the NAINA Nagar Rachna Project, alongside the Bhoomipujan of the Western Peripheral route linked to the airport. He also inaugurated the 18-hole international Kharghar Valley Golf Course and the Spectator's Gallery at the Centre of Excellence, and announced the Irshalwadi Rehabilitation Project.

"These projects will bring massive economic growth to the Mumbai metropolitan region," said Chief Minister Shinde. "CIDCO’s efforts in rehabilitating the Irshalwadi fissure victims and providing housing are commendable and demonstrate our commitment to preserving humanity during development”.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister distributed house keys to the disaster victims of the Irshalwadi Rehabilitation Project and presented appointment letters to individuals from the affected area who were hired on a contractual basis by CIDCO. Additionally, a coffee table book detailing various CIDCO projects was released.

CIDCO Chairman Sanjay Shirasat, along with several dignitaries, including Lok Sabha members and Legislative Council members, were present at the event. Shirasat provided insights into CIDCO’s projects, highlighting their significance for the region's development.

As Maharashtra continues to embrace these transformative initiatives, the Chief Minister's vision for a prosperous future looks promising, positioning the state as a leading hub for economic growth.
