NMMC's Engineering Department launches ‘Daksh App’ to streamline civic work monitoring

In an innovative move to enhance the monitoring of ongoing civic projects and address citizens' complaints efficiently, the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) has launched the NMMC Daksh App. Under the leadership of NMMC Commissioner Dr. Kailas Shinde, the app promises to bring increased speed, transparency, and accountability to the city's infrastructure management.

The Daksh app is designed to track the progress of various projects, including road repairs, sewer maintenance, and footpath construction, while enabling quick action on public grievances.

Through the app, citizens can easily report issues related to the condition of roads, sewers, and footpaths, attaching photographs of the affected areas.

Once a complaint is submitted, the relevant contractors responsible for annual maintenance are immediately notified.

The process is seamless and entirely online: engineers from the concerned department visit the reported site to assess the situation, granting approval for repairs through the app.

After receiving approval, contractors begin work and upload photographs of the completed tasks. Once the work is finished, the Engineering Department inspects it and provides approval via the app. Citizens are then issued a receipt and acceptance of the work, all within the digital framework.
