A nose pin became the crucial clue that helped Delhi police crack a chilling murder case. On March 15, a woman’s body was discovered in a drain, wrapped in a bedsheet and tied to a stone.
With no ID, police were struggling until they noticed a distinct nose pin. Tracing it to a South Delhi jewellery store, they found it was purchased by Anil Kumar, a property dealer.
The woman was identified as his wife, Seema Singh, 47.
When questioned, Kumar claimed she was away in Vrindavan and later Jaipur. But inconsistencies and family concerns raised red flags. Eventually, the body was confirmed as Seema’s.
Post-mortem reports revealed she was strangled. Kumar and his guard were arrested for murder and disposal of the body.
