Residents demand action   

Residents and commuters are raising concerns over the persistent parking issues at Shilp Chowk, one of the busiest intersections in the area.

Subhash Kabnur, a vigilant citizen who tweets on matters related to Kharghar, stated, “Vehicles parked on all four sides of the main junction, along with double-parked auto-rickshaws, continue to cause significant traffic congestion, despite repeated alerts. The situation has been particularly troublesome near key landmarks such as Chetak Sweets Junction and the Army Complex Junction, with diagonal and double parking leading to gridlocks throughout the day and night.”

He also shared a picture depicting the current scene at Shilp Chowk, where cars and autos are parked haphazardly around the roundabout, blocking smooth traffic flow.

Local residents have been vocal in their appeal for urgent intervention, suggesting the installation of ‘No Parking’ signs and regular monitoring of the area to ease the congestion.
