Traffic diverted for the day

Kharghar: A massive public rally is expected in Kharghar tomorrow, November 14th, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi set to address a gathering in Sector 29, near Central Park at 3 pm. The rally, ahead of the upcoming elections, is anticipated to attract more than 50,000 people. In preparation for the large turnout, strict traffic regulations will be enforced from 10 am to 8 pm to ensure the smooth flow of vehicles in the area.

The Kharghar Traffic Unit has already announced traffic diversions and alternative routes to minimize disruptions. However, with November 14th falling on a weekday, and a large number of residents being part of the service sector, the diversion of traffic from early morning is expected to cause significant inconvenience to daily commuters, especially those travelling through Sector 29 and nearby areas.

Local citizens expressed their frustration, stating that such measures place undue hardship on the residents of Kharghar, who often find themselves caught in the crossfire of political events. Many commuters are concerned about the long-lasting impact on their routines, with public transport expected to be crowded and roads congested.

A local resident expressed her discontent, “We are the ones who end up suffering due to such events. The politicians get their moment, but the people who live here are left dealing with the mess.”
