PMC appoints four new assistant commissioners

Panvel: The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to see a boost in the efficiency and effectiveness of its ward offices following the appointment of four new Assistant Commissioners. The Urban Development Department of the Maharashtra government has appointed these officers to enhance the management and functioning of the ward offices in Panvel, Kamothe, Kalamboli, and Kharghar. This move is expected to make the administration of these ward offices more dynamic and responsive to citizens' needs.

The appointments follow the instructions of PMC Commissioner Mangesh Chitale, as part of the provision under the Akriti Bandha, which allows for Assistant Commissioners to be appointed as Ward Officers.

The newly appointed Assistant Commissioners are as follows:

Dr. Rupali Mane has been appointed as Assistant Commissioner for Panvel Ward 'D' office.

Subodh Thanekaraya has taken charge as Assistant Commissioner for Kamothe Ward 'C' office.

- Shriram Pawar has been assigned to Kalamboli Ward 'B' office as Assistant Commissioner.

- Smita Kale will serve as Assistant Commissioner for Kharghar Ward 'A' office.

In addition to these appointments, the following officers have been named superintendents in charge of their respective wards: Roshan Mali Ward 'D' superintendent, Sadashiv Kavathe – Ward 'C' superintendent. Arvind Patil (9322351897) – Ward 'B' superintendent. Jitendra Madhavi (9819998788) – Ward 'A' superintendent.

“The appointments of these assistant commissioners and superintendents are expected to significantly improve the administrative functioning of the ward offices, making them more capable of addressing the concerns and grievances of local residents”, stated a senior official from PMC.
