The Maharashtra government has announced an average 3.9 per cent increase in Ready Reckoner (RR) rates for FY 2025-26.

The decision will directly impact property prices, stamp duty and fee for registration of properties.

Maharashtra government’s decision marks the first hike in two years. Following the decision of the Maharashtra government, Mumbai will see a 3.39 per cent increase, while cities like Navi Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and Solapur will experience hikes of up to 10.17 per cent. Ulhasnagar and Thane follow with 9 and 7.72 per cent respectively.

The revised rates will come into effect from April 1, 2025.

Industry experts warn that the hike could escalate construction expenses, impact affordable housing, and raise property costs across high-demand regions.
