Report civic problems? There’s an app for that, says KDMC

The Kalyan Dombivli Municipal Corporation (KDMC) is encouraging residents to shift to a digital-first approach by using its KDMC 24x7 app for lodging civic complaints. This move aims to streamline issue resolution and eliminate confusion caused by multiple complaint channels.

Officials have noted that the same issues are frequently reported across multiple platforms, including Lokshahi Din, Aaple Sarkar, PG Portal, email, and social media, leading to administrative inefficiencies and delays.

Harshal Gaikwad, Additional Commissioner of KDMC, stressed the importance of a centralized system. “Repetitive complaints make resolution difficult and create unnecessary challenges. To improve efficiency, we request residents to use the KDMC 24x7 app,” he said.

Moving forward, only complaints submitted through the app will be considered, and previously resolved grievances will not be reassessed. To further assist residents, KDMC also plans to introduce a dedicated helpline for complaint registration, Gaikwad added.
