The Kolsewadi police have busted a rickshaw theft racket and apprehended the main culprit from Karanari Inn on March 5. The accused, identified as Rajendra Jadhav, had been involved in multiple vehicle thefts across the region.

Following a series of rickshaw thefts within the Kolsewadi police station limits, police launched an investigation. Jadhav was spotted behaving suspiciously and taken into custody. During questing, he confessed to stealing rickshaws.

One of the stolen rickshaws was also recovered. Further investigation revealed that Jadhav had stolen three more rickshaws from Kalyan and hidden them in Ahilya Nagar, Karjat district. Acting on this information, police seized all four stolen rickshaws, valued at approximately Rs1.90 lakh.
