Ambernath: In a heartwarming act of compassion and environmental awareness, students of the Zilla Parishad School in Ambernath have taken up the responsibility of caring for birds during the hot season by placing bowls of water and grains in the school courtyard and on nearby trees.
“The initiative was launched with the belief that just a small bowl of water and some grains can make a big difference for thirsty and hungry birds,” said Chhaya Shinde, a teacher at the school.
Students have taken this mission to heart, promising to bring a handful of grains each day to feed the birds.
“The aim is to instill kindness toward animals and birds and to foster a strong sense of social responsibility from a young age,” she added.
This is the third year of the initiative.
