Shiravane Gaon underpass faces triple trouble: Sewage overflow, leakages and potholes

top-news

Commuters navigating the Shiravane Gaon underpass are struggling with a trio of problems: overflowing sewage, water leakages, and potholes. The recent rains have exacerbated the situation, increasing the volume of water leaking from the underpass roof and creating major inconveniences, especially for two-wheeler riders.

The constant water dripping from above and potholes filled with sewage have made the route hazardous, raising the risk of accidents and vehicle damage. Both motorists and local residents are affected by the ongoing issues.

Kartik Sawant, a Juinagar resident, voiced his frustration: “The potholes, water leakage, and foul sewage odor make traveling difficult, whether for work or errands. The rains have only worsened the situation, leading to more waterlogging.”

Regular commuter Prapti Dixit echoed these concerns, stating, “It’s risky to travel through this underpass, but since it’s my only route to work, I have no choice. I hope it will be reconstructed soon so I can commute without hassle.”

Despite attempts to reach the relevant authorities for comments, there has been no response, leaving commuters and residents to continue dealing with the issues.
