The statue of Shivaji Maharaj on his throne, to be installed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Sector-1, Nerul, has finally arrived in Navi Mumbai, marking a long-awaited milestone for Shivaji lovers in the region. The installation of this majestic statue has been a dream for the community, with the Kashi Krishna Charitable Trust tirelessly following up with the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) since 2016.
The Trust now seeks to fix an auspicious time for the statue's installation and has requested the presence of Guruvarya Shivsant Shri Krishnaji Nivrutti Patil for the ceremony. Shri Patil, a revered spiritual leader from Panhala, Dist. Kolhapur, has been conducting selfless worship at the holy tombs of Maharaj on Raigad Fort for the past 25 years.
To ensure the installation takes place without any hindrance, the Trust has planned a Sankalp Puja, which will include the holy water and soil of 14 forts at the installation site. The Trust has expressed willingness to cover the expenses for this ceremony, emphasizing its importance in the grand installation of the statue.
Devnath Mhatre, the founder president of the Kashi Krishna Charitable Trust, has formally requested the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation to support this initiative and schedule the auspicious pujan ceremony under the guidance of Guruvarya Shivsant Shri Krishnaji Nivrutti Patil.
