The Shri Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Tarun Mitra Mandal of Turbhe Indiranagar is celebrating the Navratri festival with great fervour this year, marking 34 years since its inception in 1990. Known for honouring Aambe Mata, the organization has organized a series of festive activities to engage the community and promote inclusivity.

Throughout the nine days of Navratri, residents are invited to participate in Dandiya dance events, with many attendees donning fancy dress costumes. The Mandal recognizes the enthusiasm of participants by distributing prizes and educational materials to underprivileged students, ensuring that the spirit of giving is celebrated alongside the festivities.

On the day of Havan, the Mandal expects to serve Mahaprasad to 2,000 to 2,500 citizens, emphasizing the theme of communal harmony by inviting participants from all religions and backgrounds Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, and others to join in the celebrations together.

Special Programs Include: Distribution of educational materials to needy students, health camp providing medical services to the community, free spectacles for those in need, a painting competition for children to showcase their creativity, musical chairs for women to encourage participation and fun.

The Mandal is led by President Shekhar Kotiwale, Secretary Mahesh Kotiwale, and Working President Siddhhram Shilwant, who are dedicated to fostering community spirit and supporting those in need during this festive season.
