A signature campaign against the proposed dance bar in Sector 17, Sanpada-Palm Beach has garnered a strong and spontaneous response from local citizens. Hundreds of residents have registered their objections by submitting letters to the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, voicing their opposition to the establishment of this bar in the area.

The proposal to open the bar and entertainment venue in the Hausa Restaurant, located in The Affaires building at Plot No. 09, Sector 17, Sanpada-Palm Beach, has raised concerns among residents. They fear that the presence of such an establishment may lead to an increase in anti-social activities in the locality. In response, former corporator Rupali Bhagat, along with Vaijayanti Bhagat and local citizens, submitted a formal objection letter to Senior Police Inspector Prithviraj Ghorpade of the Licensing Branch at the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate.

Following this, a signature campaign was organized near Gunina Maidan in Sanpada-Palm Beach. The campaign saw participation from a wide cross-section of the community, including women, men, youth, senior citizens, sportsmen, and school children. The participants expressed their opposition by signing the petition and reaffirmed their commitment to protecting the area from the negative impacts of the proposed bar.

Local leaders, including former Leader of Opposition Dashrath Bhagat and youth leader Nishant Karsan Bhagat, lent their support to the campaign. Citizens raised strong demands during the protest, calling for the revocation of the liquor license issued in violation of regulations and urged authorities not to approve licenses for dance bars in the area.

Rupali Bhagat has called on the public to continue voicing their concerns and has urged citizens to submit their objections to the Senior Police Inspector of the Licensing Branch at the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate by December 17th. The residents have made it clear that if their concerns are not addressed, they are prepared to stage a mass protest through democratic means.
