A violent clash erupted around 4:30 pm on Wednesday between workers of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Swarajya Party in Koparkhairane Sector-5, after allegations surfaced that money was being distributed to voters. Tensions escalated when BJP workers accused their rivals of bribing voters, leading to the vandalism of booths belonging to other parties. In retaliation, Swarajya Party workers physically attacked BJP members, resulting in injuries to Shankar More, son of a former BJP corporator.

The situation quickly spiralled out of control, prompting a swift response from the police, who arrived at the scene and arrested activists from both parties. The police have initiated further investigations into the incident to determine the facts behind the allegations of vote-buying and the violent altercation.
