Swarajya Paksh demands closure of unauthorized schools in Navi Mumbai

top-news

The Swarajya Paksh has intensified its campaign against unauthorized schools in Navi Mumbai, demanding their immediate closure. Despite multiple representations to the Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation's education department, no action has been taken, prompting Swarajya Paksh office bearers to confront Deputy Commissioner of Education Sangharatna Khillare and other education officers at the Municipal Corporation headquarters.

The party has raised concerns about the significant educational setbacks these unauthorized schools cause for students, coupled with the high fees they charge parents and the declining quality of education. Swarajya Paksh has warned of a hunger strike on July 9, 2024, if their demands are not met.

During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Khillare provided a written assurance to register criminal cases against unauthorized schools and to display banners outside these institutions indicating their unauthorized status. Additionally, the government will be informed of the non-payment of penalties by these schools, with further action to follow.

Swarajya Paksh District President Umesh Junghare has issued a stern warning that if the written promises are not fulfilled, the party will escalate their protest with a fast unto death on July 9, 2024.
