MIDC approves Rs 200 crore concretization project

In a significant development for the Taloja MIDC Industrial belt, the Taloja Industries Association (TIA) has successfully secured approval for a transformative infrastructure project. The initiative gained momentum during the visit of Hon. Industries Minister Maharashtra, Uday Samant, to Taloja MIDC on June 24, 2023.

During the visit, TIA presented a request to the Minister, urging his intervention to enhance the infrastructure in the Taloja MIDC Industrial area. Specifically, the proposal outlined the concretization of key zones, including L, M, V, T, Chemical, and New Chemical zones. Following the minister's visit, TIA pursued the matter with the MIDC officials.

MIDC has now issued a communication outlining plans for the development of Taloja Industrial area into a smart industrial city, to be executed as a pilot project. The concretization project, with an estimated cost of Rs 200 crores, has been awarded to Thakur Infraprojects Pvt Ltd. The scope of the project covers the concretization of approximately 21 kilometres within the Taloja MIDC area.

“Tenders for the concretization project have been floated and successfully awarded to Thakur Infra Projects Pvt Ltd. MIDC is set to commence the cement concrete work in the coming days,” informed Satish Shetty, President, TIA.
