In a heartfelt tribute to the late journalist Varda Sharma, a tree plantation drive will be held on Sunday, February 16,  at 5:00 p.m. at the Navi Mumbai Police Commissionerate, Belapur. The event coincides with her birthday and serves as a testament to her lasting legacy in media and environmental advocacy.

Organized under the leadership of Dharmendra Kar, founder of Way2ISR Foundation, the initiative is a collaborative effort by Team Save Navi Mumbai Environment Group, Way to ISR Foundation, and Daily Newsband.

Various social organizations, NGOs, activists, and nature lovers will come together to honour her memory with a ‘Green Signature’ initiative, symbolizing her commitment to environmental awareness.

Dharmendra Kar, expressed his thoughts saying, “This is a meaningful tribute to a journalist who made a significant impact. We not only celebrate her contributions but also commit to carrying forward her legacy of environmental and social responsibility.”

Citizens are encouraged to participate in large numbers and contribute to making this tribute a lasting impact.
