Uday Samant to inaugurate Rs. 302 crore development projects in Panvel

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) is set to hold a groundbreaking and dedication ceremony for various development works worth Rs.302 crores on October 8, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The event will take place at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Theater and will feature the presence of several dignitaries, including the Minister of Industries and Guardian Minister, Uday Samant; the Minister of Women and Child Development, Aditi Tatkare; MP from Maval Lok Sabha, Srirang Barane; Panvel MLA, Prashant Thakur; Legislative Council Member of Teacher Konkan Constituency, Dnyaneshwar Mhatre; and MLA of Konkan Constituency, Niranjan Davkhare.

Commissioner Mangesh Chitale has appealed to the citizens to attend this significant event, which aims to enhance urban infrastructure and public welfare in the region.

Highlights of the Ceremony

During the event, Bhoomipujan ceremonies will be conducted for various projects, including:

- Inauguration of Development Works:

  1. Urban Health Enhancement Centres (UHWC) at Asudgaon and three other locations.

  2. Two Mobile Medical Units (Mobile Clinics).

  3. A Primary School at Valvali under the Panvel Municipal Corporation.

  4. Fire Fighting Vehicles, including an advanced rescue vehicle and an advanced fire engine.

  5. A vehicle dedicated to environmental awareness in the Pampa area.

  6. A Multi-Purpose Hall funded by the CSR of the Ramky Group.

  7. Late D. Ba Patil English Medium School, a tribute to a people's leader.

  8. Four vehicles for dust pollution control.

  9. One ambient air quality measuring station vehicle.

Bhoomipujan of Development Works:

  1. Installation of 1,343 CCTV systems for enhanced security within the municipal limits.

  2. Construction of housing projects and infrastructure facilities for sanitation workers under the Babasaheb Ambedkar Shram Safalya Yojana.

  3. Road concreting from Lions Garden to Tehsil Office to HOC Colony in Ward Committee C.

  4. Construction of a bridge over the Taloja River connecting Koynawele and Ghot villages in Ward No. 01.

  5. A new Dainik Bazar Machhi Market in Kharghar.

  6. Development of a night shelter for the homeless in Khanda Colony.

  7. Upgradation of entrances and ghats at Ballaleshwar and Rameshwar temples.

  8. Revival of Adivli Lake in the Pampa area.

  9. Construction of a mini theatre on the third floor of the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Theatre.

  10. Development of a playground centre within the municipal limits.

  11. Revival of existing ponds in the Pampa area.
