In a bid to ease traffic woes and enhance road safety, the traffic department has identified specific areas where parking is prohibited to maintain the free flow of vehicles. Despite these clearly marked restrictions, some motorists persist in flouting the rules, leading to traffic disruptions and inconvenience for fellow commuters. Taking note of this ongoing issue, the Vashi Traffic Branch has launched a crackdown on vehicles found in violation of these no parking regulations, particularly those engaged in double parking, which exacerbates congestion and hinders the smooth movement of traffic.

Satish Nikam, Senior Police Inspector of the Vashi Traffic Branch, emphasised the importance of maintaining traffic discipline and adhering to parking regulations. He also stated that with the upcoming Ganeshotsav festival expected to bring increased traffic and movement in the area, the traffic department is determined to enforce these rules more rigorously to ensure a hassle-free commute for all residents and visitors.
