The Agricultural Produce Market Committee (APMC) continues to face thefts despite its status as the largest market in Asia. While thefts were traditionally common at night, recent incidents have started occurring during days as well.

On Monday afternoon, around 4 pm, a thief was caught in the act of stealing a two-wheeler in the onion and potato market section of APMC. The thief’s plan was foiled thanks to the vigilance of security supervisor Sanjeev Narangkar. While on duty, Narangkar noticed an unfamiliar individual tampering with a parked two-wheeler. Sensing something suspicious, he immediately inquired further, uncovering the thief's intention to steal the vehicle.

Without wasting any time, Narangkar apprehended the suspect and handed him over to the APMC police. A case has been registered against the thief, and authorities are investigating further.
