The Vishal Mitra Mandal Sarvajanik Navratri Utsav is celebrating its 25th year of honouring Maa Durga through traditional rituals and devotion. This year, the mandal continues its commitment to cultural heritage with a blend of dandiya and garba, cherished elements of the festive season.

Rupesh Dalvi, the President of the mandal, shared, “The Vishal Mitra Mandal Sarvajanik Navratri Utsav was initiated by my father, and I am proud to carry on this legacy. We don’t believe in setting up a large pandal; instead, we install a photo of Maa Durga and perform pujan. Every evening, we host traditional dandiya and garba sessions. On Maha Astomi day special hom is performed to Maa Durga”.

As in previous years, the celebrations are witnessing a remarkable turnout, with around 1,200 citizens expected to participate. “The Mhasoba Maidan is illuminated with the joy and devotion of the citizens,” added Mr. Dalvi.

In addition to the festive celebrations, the mandal is actively engaged in social initiatives. “As one of the oldest mandals, we collaborate with local hospitals to organize health camps for citizens, ensuring the well-being of our community,” Mr. Dalvi noted.
