History was made in the Kalyan West Assembly Constituency this year, an important seat in Thane district, as voters elected Vishwanath Bhoir of the Shiv Sena-BJP-Nationalist RIP Mahayuti alliance for the second consecutive term. Bhoir hoisted the saffron flag of victory with a commanding margin of over 42,000 votes.
In his victory speech, Vishwanath Bhoir attributed his success to the unwavering support of the people of Kalyan, who stood behind the development-oriented Mahayuti and its leaders. "This historic win is a result of the trust the people of Kalyan have placed in our vision for a better future," said Bhoir.
Looking back at the past three assembly elections in Kalyan West, the seat has seen a new winner each time. This year, however, was different, with Kalyan West showing strong support for Vishwanath Bhoir, electing him with an even higher vote count than in previous years. Notably, voter turnout exceeded 55%, marking a significant increase.
Bhoir also credited the support of former BJP MLAs Narendra Pawar and Varun Patil, as well as Shiv Sena city chief Ravi Patil, for helping avoid vote splits and ensuring a decisive victory.
