Kharghar-Taloja: Nearly 30 start-up entrepreneurs gained business insights and networking opportunities at the RIFAH Meet and Business Summit held at the Darul Uloom Islamia Arabia Library in Taloja on October 20. The event also marked the pre-launch of the RIFAH Navi Mumbai Chapter for the Kharghar-Taloja region.
Organised by Kharghar-based Illanoor Foundation, the three-hour summit brought together more than 60 entrepreneurs and professionals from six Maharashtra cities, representing sectors including information technology, real estate, education, shipping, e-commerce and engineering.
The programme focused on building business relationships, exchanging ideas and exploring collaborations. Mufti Danish of Illanoor Foundation highlighted the wider responsibilities of entrepreneurship, stressing that businesses should contribute to society alongside earning profits.
State president Sahil Shaikh outlined RIFAH’s work and introduced six core services offered by the chamber. A key highlight was the ‘Ask & Give’ session, during which start-up participants explained what their businesses needed and what they could offer. The exercise generated 46 entries, opening avenues for potential partnerships, customers and business solutions.
Vice-president (Maharashtra) Dr Awab Habib Fakih spoke about networking as a means of business growth, encouraging participants to recognise opportunities through professional interactions.
Participant Abdur Rehman Shaikh, a software engineer at Tata Consultancy Services, said, “For the businesses of Kharghar-Taloja and Navi Mumbai, RIFAH offers a valuable opportunity to connect with one another locally and to step beyond the local market to reach fellow entrepreneurs across the country.”
The network will next host its 100 Cr Club Business Meet in Kurla on October 31, inviting entrepreneurs and professionals to strengthen connections and explore opportunities for collective growth.
