Ulwe: IndiGo plans to launch international operations from Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) in February 2027, with the phased transfer of services from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) scheduled to continue until July.

In coordination with Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), the airline plans to shift existing international flights to 11 destinations, including Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah, Kuwait, Muscat and Jakarta. A new daily service to Kathmandu will take the total number of planned international destinations from NMIA to 12.

Select domestic flights supporting international connections will also be transferred to the new airport to facilitate smoother passenger transfers between domestic and overseas services.

AAHL has welcomed the planned transition, which is expected to ease capacity constraints at CSMIA, improve connectivity and accommodate growing air traffic demand across the Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

The airline and airport operator are coordinating operational arrangements to facilitate the shift. Individual flight transfer dates will be announced after the necessary coordination and regulatory approvals are completed.

The international rollout will follow a separate timeline from Air India Group’s relocation. While Air India Express plans to begin shifting select domestic flights to NMIA in December 2026, followed by international services, IndiGo’s international operations are scheduled to commence in February 2027
