Mayuri Shinde wins gold in district-level bench press competition

Panvel: Mayuri Geeta Arun Shinde won the gold medal in the senior 63kg category at a district-level bench press competition organised by the Mumbai City Powerlifting Association on Sunday, October 25.
Originally from Nagaon in Pali, Shinde is currently based in Mumbai for work. She is employed as a Group D staff member at the Family Court in Bandra.
Shinde trains under Anant Chalke, a recipient of the Shiv Chhatrapati Award, and receives guidance from Vinayak Achrekar, former secretary of the Mumbai City Powerlifting Association.
Her achievement was welcomed by relatives in her native village, who congratulated her and wished her success in future competitions.
