Airoli: Airoli Sports Association (ASA) successfully organised the 4-Star Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2026, showcasing emerging talent and future champions of the sport.

The tournament was held from September 22 to 27 at the ASA Badminton Court under the aegis of Thane District Table Tennis Association (TDTTA), Mumbai City District Table Tennis Association (MCDTTA), Raigad District Table Tennis Association (RDTTA) and Palghar District Table Tennis Association (PDTTA).

The event witnessed an overwhelming response, with 438 entries from Thane, Mumbai, Raigad and Palghar districts. Players competed across 14 categories, including the promotional Under-10 boys and girls categories, where several promising young players displayed impressive skills and potential.

The prize distribution ceremony was held on September 27 at 5:00 p.m. in the presence of ASA managing committee members and prominent sports officials. The dignitaries included Yatin Tipnis, General Secretary of TDTTA, MSTTA and Senior Joint Secretary of TTFI; Laxmikant Kakde, Assistant Police Inspector of Rabale Police Station; Sanjay Kadu, President of RDTTA and Treasurer of MSTTA; and Mahendra Chiplunkar, Joint Secretary of MCDTTA.

Winners, runners-up and semi-finalists in each category were honoured with ASA trophies, cash prizes and certificates.

The organisers received appreciation for the excellent arrangements and facilities provided during the tournament. Participants and officials also suggested that ASA’s sports complex be considered as a venue for prestigious state-level ranking tournaments in the future.
