Panvel: A unique Ganeshotsav decoration at the residence of Pankaj Tambde in Nerepada, Panvel, has become a major attraction for devotees, with a life-like replica of the famous Kedareshwar Mahadev Cave at Harishchandragad created to showcase Maharashtra’s rich religious and historical heritage.

The replica has been designed as part of the festival decoration, with the idol of Lord Ganesha installed within the recreated cave structure. The artistic display has drawn several devotees who are visiting the site to witness the unique theme.

Harishchandragad, one of Maharashtra’s prominent hill forts, is renowned for the Kedareshwar Cave and the ancient Shivling located inside it. The replica captures the cave’s stone-like structure, surrounding environment and spiritual importance, giving visitors an opportunity to experience a glimpse of the historic site while seeking blessings from Ganpati Bappa.

Speaking about the initiative, Pankaj Tambde said, “Through this Ganeshotsav decoration, our aim is to introduce the younger generation to Maharashtra’s forts, temples and historical monuments. Such themes help preserve our cultural heritage and create awareness among people.”

The unique display has attracted a large number of citizens and Ganesh devotees from the surrounding areas. Combining religious devotion, historical heritage and artistic creativity, the replica has emerged as one of the special attractions of this year’s Ganesh festival.
