Mega block on CR on Oct 11, WR to conduct night block

Mumbai: Suburban train services on Central and Western Railway will be affected on Sunday, October 11, due to scheduled maintenance blocks on multiple sections.

Central Railway will operate a mega block on the slow lines between Matunga and Mulund from 11.05 am to 3.55 pm. Down slow services departing Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus between 10.14 am and 3.32 pm will be diverted to the fast line, halting at designated stations. Up slow services from Thane between 11.07 am and 3.51 pm will also be diverted. Services may reach their destinations around 15 minutes late.

On the Harbour line, services between CSMT and Chunabhatti/Bandra will be suspended on the down line from 11.40 am to 4.40 pm and on the up line from 11.10 am to 4.10 pm. Special trains will operate between Panvel and Kurla every 20 minutes. Trans-Harbour and Uran services will run as scheduled. Harbour line passengers can travel via the Main line and Western Railway between 10 am and 6 pm.

Western Railway will undertake a four-hour jumbo block between Mahim and Mumbai Central from 12.25 am to 4.25 am on Sunday for track, signalling and overhead equipment maintenance. Fast-line suburban services will be diverted to the slow line between Andheri/Santacruz and Churchgate.

Railway officials have urged commuters to check revised schedules and plan their journeys accordingly. The maintenance work is intended to ensure the safety and reliability of railway infrastructure.
