Nerul: Nerul Gymkhana’s Aarav Chhallani has emerged as the top-ranked Indian junior tennis player in the Boys’ Under-14 category, securing the India No. 1 and Asia No. 2 positions following a series of impressive performances on the international circuit.

Aarav’s rise began in April 2026 at the Asian Category 1+ Under-14 Tournament in Jaipur, where he won the Singles title and finished runner-up in the Doubles event. The performance helped him collect crucial ranking points and become India’s No. 1 player in May.

Continuing his strong run, Aarav produced a remarkable three-week campaign on the Asian Tennis Federation (ATF) circuit. He emerged as Doubles Champion and reached the Singles semi-finals at the ATF Grade A event in East Asia, China. He then finished as a Doubles finalist at the ATF Category A tournament in Central Asia, Uzbekistan, before winning another Doubles title and finishing as a Singles runner-up at the ATF Grade A South Asia event in Hyderabad.

The consistent results against leading Asian juniors helped Aarav claim the Asia No. 2 ranking while strengthening his position as India’s leading Under-14 player.
