Mumbai: Ensuring safety at workplaces should remain the highest priority, and all precautionary measures must be strictly followed while carrying out electrical work, said Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) Director (Human Resources) Rajendra Pawar.

Addressing officials and employees during a review meeting of the Pen Circle, Pawar stressed the need to strengthen power distribution infrastructure and provide consumers with quality, uninterrupted and reliable electricity services.

During the meeting, Pawar reviewed the functioning of the circle and discussed issues related to billing, customer complaints, the current status of the power distribution network and measures required to improve service delivery. He instructed officials to ensure speedy resolution of consumer complaints, address billing-related issues and enhance customer services.

The meeting was attended by Pen Circle Superintendent Engineer Dhanraj Bikkad, Executive Engineer (Goregaon) R J Patil, Executive Engineer (Alibaug) Dashrath Bhagat and other senior officials and employees.

Pawar also reviewed the progress of proposed new power substations and infrastructure projects aimed at strengthening the electricity distribution system in Pen Circle. He directed officials to complete projects within timelines while ensuring safety standards.

He said field staff must use protective equipment and follow procedures while working on electrical lines, transformers and substations. Pawar added that safety checks and necessary permissions before work are essential to prevent accidents. MSEDCL continues to implement infrastructure projects to improve power reliability and deliver better services to consumers across Maharashtra with greater efficiency and commitment towards safe electricity supply.
