Here are five prominent Ganesh mandals across Navi Mumbai and Panvel that are drawing large crowds and showcasing the vibrant spirit of the city’s annual Ganesh festival.
1. Navshala Pavnara Maharaja, Vashi
Celebrating its 42nd year, the Navshala Pavnara Maharaja Ganesh at Sector 17, Vashi, is among the city’s largest celebrations. Its 12-foot Gaja Raja idol is installed at Babu Genu Krirangan inside a grand replica of a Rajasthani mahal.

2. Panvel Cha Raja ‘Chintamani’
Organised by Hari Om Samajik Mitra Mandal, Panvel Cha Raja Chintamani is celebrating its 16th year at Sector 4. The festival features a spacious, eco-friendly 30-foot pandal at Chintamani Darbar and attracts large crowds from across the Panvel region.

3. Navi Mumbai Cha Raja, Turbhe
The Shivchhaya Mitra Mandal is celebrating its 56th Ganesh Utsav with a 12-foot Navi Mumbai Cha Raja idol. The pandal at the CIDCO ground near ICL School, Sector 21, has been designed as a replica of Jaipur’s Sheesh Mahal.

4. CBD Cha Raja, Belapur
Celebrating its 44th year, Sai Ekta Sarvajanik Ganesh Utsav Mitra Mandal has installed a 12.5-foot CBD Cha Raja at Sector 2, CBD Belapur. The pandal replicates the Banke Bihari Temple and carries the message of “One God, One Religion.”

Celebrating 26 years, Kharghar Cha Raja at Sector 12 features a permanent 12-foot fibre idol and promotes “No water pollution by immersion.” This year, the mandal is also highlighting food safety awareness.
