Mumbai: On the occasion of World Heart Day 2026, to create awareness around heart health, Lilavati Hospital and Research Centre, in association with SEWA (Service Quality for the Welfare of All), organised a free heart health checkup camp. The camp was inaugurated by celebrities like Rouble Nagi, Shalin Bhanot, Suchitra Krishnamoorthi, Rupali Suri and Raju Singh, who extended their support to the initiative and encouraged others to do the same.

The initiative “one heart one life makes every beat count” witnessed participation from over 1500 people. The camp included complimentary physical health screenings such as cardiovascular examinations, lipid profile tests, cholesterol assessments, and Electrocardiograms (ECGs) for people who required further assessment, along with multi-speciality consultations.

This early screening has potentially saved lives and brought attention to the significance of regular health check-ups.

Commenting on the initiative, Rajiv K. Mehta, Permanent Trustee for Life, Lilavati Hospital & Research Centre, Mumbai, said, “We remain committed to building a healthier society through such community initiatives that create a lasting impact on people’s lives.”

While World Heart Day serves as a reminder to pay attention towards our heart health, preventive health checkups should be made a regular part of our healthcare routine.
