Mumbai: Prachesta Charitable Trust celebrated its 10th Foundation Day with a programme highlighting its decade-long journey of supporting underprivileged children through education, mentorship and social initiatives.

The event was attended by Swami Devakantyananda, Vice-President of Ramakrishna Mission, Khar; Dr Maheshwari Zirpe, Principal of Ramsheth Thakur College, Kharghar; and V. K. Nair, Editor-in-Chief of Vashi Times, Navi Mumbai, along with students, families, volunteers, donors and CSR partners.

Founded in September 2017 by six professionals, Prachesta works towards helping children overcome financial barriers and continue their education. The organisation has supported nearly 1,000 children over the past decade and currently provides assistance to 150 students across Maharashtra, West Bengal and Assam.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives of Prachesta said, “Our aim has always been to empower children to dream beyond their limitations and provide them with opportunities to build a better future.”

The organisation also runs a day-care centre in Panvel in association with Tree of Life Foundation, where around 60 children receive meals and pre-primary education. It conducts health camps, medical check-ups and awareness programmes for needy families.

The trust announced its future plans, including expanding scholarship support to over 500 students in three years and launching the ‘Sakshala’ initiative to develop sustainable educational infrastructure in schools serving underprivileged communities.

Guests appreciated the dedication of Prachesta’s volunteers, supporters and donors, who have contributed towards creating educational opportunities and social change.
