Inter-collegiate baseball tournament begins at CKT College

Panvel: An inter-collegiate baseball tournament organised by Changu Kana Thakur Arts, Commerce and Science College, New Panvel (Empowered Autonomous), in association with the University of Mumbai, began on Wednesday, September 23.
The four-day tournament, being held from September 23 to September 26, was inaugurated by the college Principal Prof Dr S K Patil. University of Mumbai Sports Director Dr Manoj Reddy, Mumbai City Zone-1 Tournament Secretary Dr Manoj Verma and Assistant Secretary Dr V B Naik were present on the occasion.
A total of 16 college teams, including men’s and women’s teams, are participating in the tournament. The event aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their sporting talent and promote competitive baseball at the university level.
The tournament is being organised under the guidance of the Gymkhana Department. Chairman Dr V B Naik, Joint Director Prof Anil Nakti, Prof Bharat Jitekar and other members of the Gymkhana Department are working towards the successful conduct of the competition.
